Un concierto que le servir\u00e1 para presentar su \u00faltimo trabajo,<strong>\u201cSingularity\u201d<\/strong>, que sali\u00f3 a principios de mayo y es el primer LP suyo en cinco a\u00f1os. Hopkins empez\u00f3 su carrera oficial (tras algunos escarceos como pianista adolescente interesado en sonidos sint\u00e9ticos y, sobre todo, el acid house y el drum&#8217;n&#8217;bass) ejerciendo de teclista para la cantante<strong>\u00a0Imogean Heap<\/strong>, aunque poco despu\u00e9s decidi\u00f3 volar en solitario e inici\u00f3 una ristra de colaboraciones estelares que incluyen su nombre en cr\u00e9ditos de \u00e1lbumes de Herbie Hancock, (s\u00ed, el aclamado m\u00fasico de jazz), B<strong>rian Eno, Massive Attack, David Holmes\u00a0<\/strong>y<strong>\u00a0Coldplay<\/strong>, entre otros nombres punteros. Su estilo, construcciones meticulosas con arreglos exuberantes, dentro de un magma r\u00edtmico relajante, algo alucin\u00f3geno, bien sea cuando bordea el trance o cuando apela al techno org\u00e1nico. Centr\u00e1ndonos en su propia carrera, su primer \u00e1lbum lleg\u00f3 en 2001,\u00a0<strong>\u201cOpalescent\u201d<\/strong>, al que han seguido cinco t\u00edtulos m\u00e1s con el formato LP, dos de ellos bandas sonoras (para las pel\u00edculas<strong>\u00a0\u201cMonsters\u201d<\/strong>, en 2010, y\u00a0<strong>\u201cMi vida ahora\u201d<\/strong>, en 2013), as\u00ed como cuatro EPs y otros tantos singles. Dio el golpe con\u00a0<strong>\u201cImmunity\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0(2013), que le supuso ser nominado a los\u00a0<strong>Mercury Prize\u00a0<\/strong>y consolidarse en la \u00e9lite electr\u00f3nica a trav\u00e9s de su techno elegante e hipn\u00f3tico.
